Method

1. Make sure that the area you’re going to be working in is clean and sanitised before you start.
2. Combine the coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax pellets in a heatproof bowl. Melt them down using a microwave or a double boiler. Be careful not to overheat or burn the ingredients. They should form a smooth, liquid consistency.
3. Remove the bowl from the heat and allow it to cool for a short while.
4. Wearing a mask to avoid accidental inhalation, add the zinc oxide powder and combine well.
5. If desired, add the carrot seed oil.
6. If desired, add your essential oil of choice.
7. Stir well and make sure everything is well combined, then let it cool for a short time.
8. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container or bottle, then let the cream cool further. As it cools, it will grow firmer and thicker.
9. Store your cream in a cool, dry place and use as desired. We recommend labelling it with the date you made it.
