It’s hard to believe we’ve once again headed into the festive season. Christmas is just a few weeks away, and many of us are now starting to think about our celebration plans and what presents we’ll be gifting to family and friends.
While gift-giving is an integral part of many Christmas traditions, it doesn’t have to be an overly expensive or stressful affair. Gifting homemade items, for example, is the perfect way of showing your love and appreciation without having to brave busy shopping centres or break the bank.
At N-Essentials, we believe that store-bought soap simply can’t compare to its homemade counterpart. Homemade soap offers countless advantages and is the perfect present for the loved ones in your life.
Continue reading to learn more about the process of soap making, the advantages of homemade soap, and how to add a hint of Christmas cheer to your soap-making experience (hint: it’s all in the addition of Christmas oil blends!)
Why Gift Homemade Soap?
Many people don’t stop to consider how soap is made or the ingredients that go into creating skin products that you purchase at the supermarket. When you stop to consider all the important things that our skin does, you’ll quickly find that taking care of it becomes one of your top priorities.
One of the best ways to look after your skin is by understanding what is in the products you use to clean and treat it, including soap. This is one of the top advantages of using and gifting homemade soap — you have complete control over what is included and excluded from the ingredient list. In addition, many people prefer homemade soaps as they are more environmentally friendly. There is no excess packaging, and the ingredients tend to be naturally sourced.
What Is ‘Christmas Soap’?
At this point, you might be wondering, what makes ‘Christmas soap’ different from regular soap?
It really comes down to the types of essential oils you include in the recipe. We don’t need to tell you that some scents are more heavily associated with Christmas than any other celebration or time of the year. Cinnamon, peppermint, and pine are all aromas that instantly bring to mind Christmas time — even in Australia, where our Christmas days are more likely to be spent at the beach than making snowmen. N-Essentials stocks a comprehensive range of Christmas essential oils that make the process of crafting festive soaps simple.
Alternatively, perhaps the colour of your soap brings to mind the festive season. N-Essentials collection of natural products includes mica pigments in red, green, silver and gold to bring some Christmas-coloured cheer to your soap.
Ultimately, Christmas soap can be anything you want it to be.
