BUY NEEM OIL FOR SKIN AND HAIR ONLINE IN AUSTRALIA

Botanical Name: Azadirachta indica

Colour: Brown

Method of extraction: Virgin, cold-pressed from the seeds of neem tree

This oil, which is extracted by cold pressing from the seeds of the evergreen neem tree, has a plethora of cosmetic benefits and could become your new favourite skincare staple. It has a heavy, pungent aroma and varies in colour from green-brown to golden-yellow to dark brown depending on the extraction process.

Neem oil is India's most well-known carrier oil, and it has been dubbed the "Indian Lilac" due to its versatility in skincare applications. Its main components would include azadirachtin, carotenoids, linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and vitamin C. Since it contains all these elements, you can be assured that you have stumbled across something beneficial.

NEEM OIL BENEFITS FOR SKIN AND HAIR

The benefits of neem oil for skin are vast and this makes it an essential ingredient in various skincare products. It easily penetrates into the skin to replenish moisture, improve texture, and smooth out wrinkles. It also helps to soothe dry skin that is caused by many factors such as dirt, pollution, and weather conditions.

Apart from moisturising the skin, neem oil can also help unclog pores and cleanse the skin to prevent facial redness and other skin complications. Long-term use can make the skin appear more even and radiant. This is a bit light and gentle carrier oil. As such, it does not leave a greasy stain when applied to the skin. With all these being said, neem oil makes an ideal cosmetic oil for people with sensitive skin.

In haircare, this oil can help wash loose flakes from the hair whilst balancing its pH level. It easily moisturises the hair and detangles messy hair. For a shinier and stronger-looking hair, we recommend blending neem oil with coconut oil and lavender essential oil. Neem oil is also a popular oil to use to help get rid of head lice due to the azadirachtin content.

OTHER USES OF NEEM OIL

  • Soaps
  • Shampoos
  • Natural fertiliser
  • Face moisturiser
  • Insect repellent
  • Hair mask
  • Hair conditioner

NEEM OIL AS A NATURAL INSECT REPELLANT

This oil can be used to monitor insects and wards them off with its heavy and bitter sulphuric scent, which contains a lot of azadirachtin. The bitter taste of neem oil, when used as a main ingredient in pesticides and fertilisers, acts as an effective antifeedant, preventing them from chewing the leaves of your plants and trees. Since neem oil is non-toxic and biodegradable, it will not affect people if sprayed on vegetables.

CAUTION: Due to the potency of the oil, best to mix it with another carrier oil such as grapeseed oil using a 1:1 ratio, when applying to larger parts of the body. Apply using a cotton ball and wear disposable gloves. Also, neem oil may solidify at lower temperatures. Place the container in a bowl of warm water. Neem oil should only be used externally.

I used this oil to prevent ants coming in my home and to protect a plant that was getting eaten. Love it so far, have not used it in any balm yet, I still have quite a supply.
