Depending on the goal, lavender oil works well and might be mixed with coconutargan or jojoba oil, among others.

Lavender oil can help improve skin complexion by reducing the appearance of dark spots and skin discolouration. Because it fights skin redness, lavender oil can help lighten the skin faster when applied to the affected area early on. It can also lessen blotchiness and hyperpigmentation. Mix it with pomegranate oil and apply onto your face like a serum.

FIGHTS FACIAL REDNESS

Lavender oil has soothing effects on the skin which help fight facial redness.

With sunburns, spray the affected part with a lavender oil mixture. Combine 10 to 12 drops of lavender oil and jojoba oil, quarter of aloe vera juice and 2 tablespoons of distilled water. Shake the spray bottle and use two to three times a day.

If you experience a burning effect after you shave your skin, de-sensitise it by mixing one to three drops of lavender oil and one to two teaspoons of coconut or moringa oil. Apply this mixture three times a day until the burn dissipates.

IS LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL GOOD FOR MY SKIN TYPE?

Lavender oil works well with oily skin because of its skin nourishing properties. It is proven to be beneficial in reducing facial redness and preventing acne breakouts. It can also aid in balancing out the moisture levels of the skin and works as a natural hydrator to help nourish dry skin without the grease.
