We all know that homemade skincare and body products are far more superior to those that are bought in the shops.

You know exactly what is going into them and you can choose where to buy the ingredients from so that you know you are choosing quality, natural ingredients to use in them.

There are so many different homemade skincare and body care products that you can make and avoid all the nasties that are in the store-bought ones.

One product that we absolutely love to make ourselves is a homemade shaving cream using shea butter that can be used by both males and females.

Why make your own shaving cream?

Not only is a homemade shaving cream simple and easy to make with only a few ingredients but it is also all-natural meaning there are no hidden nasties in it.

It also means that you can avoid using the aerosol type shaving creams that you find in the supermarket which is also a huge benefit.

Because the shaving cream is made with a butter and oil base it also means that you can use it as a dry shaving cream and then instead of washing it off afterwards you can simply rub it in as a moisturiser.

Only a small amount of the homemade shaving cream needs to be used as well, which means that a little goes a long way.

As you can see there are lots of benefits to making and using your own homemade shaving cream.

Is it easy to do?

Of course! There are only 3 ingredients needed to create the homemade shaving cream (4 if you include essential oils) which makes it simple to make and easy to get your hands on the ingredients for it.

Having an electric mixer on hand to complete the whipping step does make it even easier but you can still make this even if you do not have one.

So why not check out the quick and simple recipe below and make yourself your own batch of homemade shaving cream.
