Honey's consistency and its ability to blend well with other natural ingredients like oils, fruits, and yoghurt make it an ideal base for DIY skin care recipes.

If you loved our previous blog that dived into honey-based skincare, you're in for another treat. Whether you're an experienced DIY skincare aficionado or just beginning your journey towards a more natural regimen, these recipes are designed to inspire, engage, and enrich your skincare experience.

Here are some of our favourite recipes at N-Essentials.

Green Honey Mask

The mask’s unique, gel-like consistency is a result of the harmonious blend of fresh spinach and mint. The honey lends a delightful stickiness to the mask, while the ripe banana adds a creamy smoothness. The zingy ginger provides a subtle granular feel, giving your skin a gentle, natural scrub. Each application of the Green Honey Mask promises an experience that is both indulgent and refreshing, a sensorial treat for your skin.

Follow this recipe to make enough for two masks.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup fresh mint
  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 1 piece (1-inch) ginger
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 egg whites

Directions:

  • Rinse spinach thoroughly in a colander.
  • Cut and peel ginger, set aside. In a food processor or blender, combine spinach, mint and ginger.
  • Blend on a low setting. Add honey and banana and blend until liquid consistency. Add egg whites, and blend until all ingredients are mixed thoroughly.

  • Leave on skin for 15-20 minutes.
