What is Optiphen Plus?

Optiphen Plus is a well-known and popular broad-spectrum preservative, free from parabens and formaldehyde, that efficiently delivers antimicrobial activity to a wide variety of personal care products such as shampoos, conditioners, face, body washes, creams, lotions and gels. It's effective as a stand-alone preservative and also functions well with other preservatives. It contains an active blend of phenoxyethanol and sorbic acid. Due to this sorbic acid, Optiphen Plus performs best in formulations with a slightly acidic pH level, that is, 6.0 or below.

Optiphen Plus preservative can be added in at any phase of production. Intensive stirring is recommended to achieve a uniform dispersion of active ingredients, especially in aqueous products with low contents of emulsifiers.
