2. Citrus Burst Bath Bomb:
You will need:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup Epsom salt
- Zest of 1 citrus fruit (e.g., lemon, orange, grapefruit)
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 10-15 drops citrus essential oil (e.g., lemon, sweet orange, grapefruit)
- Witch hazel extract
Method:
Place the dry ingredients in a bowl, whisk well, and then mix in all of the liquid components, ensuring to stir while doing so. Spray the mixture with witch hazel in a spray bottle until it holds together when squeezed. Press the mixture into circular moulds (to keep the citrus fruit theme going), allow them to dry and solidify for 24-48 hours, and then carefully remove them.
3. Oatmeal Milk Bath Bomb:
You will need:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup powdered milk
- 1/4 cup ground oats
- 2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
- 10-15 drops vanilla oleoresin or german chamomile essential oil
- Witch hazel
Method:
In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients, stir well, and then gradually add the liquid components while stirring. Using a spray bottle, mist the witch hazel into the mix until it holds together when squeezed.
Press the mix into the moulds, then leave them to dry and take shape for 24-48 hours before carefully removing them. Enjoy!
4. Peppermint Eucalyptus Bath Bomb:
You will need:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup Epsom salt
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 10 drops peppermint essential oil
- 10 drops eucalyptus essential oil
- Witch hazel extract
Method:
Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, stir well, and then gradually add the liquid components while stirring.
Use a spray bottle to slowly add witch hazel into the paste until it holds together when squeezed. Press the mixture into the moulds, then set it aside for 24-48 hours to dry and firm up before carefully removing them. Your bath bombs are ready!
5. Floral Paradise Bath Bomb:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup Epsom salt
- 1 tablespoon dried rose petals
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
- 2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
- 10 drops rose geranium essential oil
- 5 drops geranium essential oil
- Witch hazel extract
Method:
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl, mix well, and then add the liquid ingredients gradually while stirring. Use the witch hazel in a spray bottle to spritz the mixture until it holds together when squeezed.
Press the mixture into floral moulds to stay on theme, let them dry and harden for 24-48 hours, then carefully remove them. Enjoy your DIY bath bombs in a warm bath and relax!
