Can I Mix My Own Essential Oils?

Yes! You can make your own essential oil blends and use them for a variety of different activities such as aromatherapy, massages, skincare and haircare. Mixing essential oils can be a fun and creative process, but it's important to do so safely and responsibly.

When mixing essential oils, make sure a carrier oil is mixed in to dilute the potency of your essential oil blendswhen applying to the skin. Essential oils are far too concentrated to use as is, and should never be applied topically to your skin or hair without a carrier oil to dilute them! Also, consider the blend ratio of the oils you’re using. Usually, 2-3 drops of essential oil in 10-15 drops of carrier oil will suffice.

Diluting your essential oil blend with a carrier oil is a must only if the essential oils need to be applied to the skin or hair. However, the dilution is not required if your essential oil blend is to be used in a diffuser.
