What is Fluorescent Pigments - Green?

Fluorescent pigments are much more vibrant-looking than your usual colourants and provide your application with that extra wow factor!

For melt and pour soap, the pigment should first ideally be mixed in well with glycerine to get rid of speckling and can then merely be added. This pigment can be used by itself in body care applications or to enhance the tone of other colours in several applications.

Fluorescent Pigments - Green Applications

Green fluorescent pigment colourants are insanely bright, beautiful and provide a fresh vibe. It can be used in bath bombs and for colouring cosmetics such as green nail polish, neon green eyeshadows and green-coloured soaps or bath bombs. It has been proven to be steady in soaps and will not alter the shape or colour in cold process or melt and pour soaps. It also gives uniform colouring with a steady shade batch to batch.

One of its drawbacks though is that it has a tendency to clump and you will need to be careful to de-clump first before adding to your recipe. To de-clump beforehand, use a hand mixer to pre-mix your pigment in with a neutralised fixed oil, such as coconut oil, before adding to your soap. This will help dissolve and break up any clumps.

The coloured oil can then be added to the soap batter at trace when making cold process soap.
