WHAT IS BLUE TANSY ESSENTIAL OIL? 

The flowers, leaves, and stems of the Tanacetum annuum plant, undergoes a steam- distilled process to produce the aromatic Blue Tansy essential oil. Blue Tansy essential oil offers a wide range of benefits including, but not limited to, skincare. It has a distinguishingly sweet, herbaceous and floral aroma with a medium consistency, and comes in a rich, cerulean blue colour that is loved by many.

Blue Tansy, famous for its other name “Moroccan Tansy”, is mostly abundant on the coast of Morocco and is usually grown in well-drained, sandy soil under full or minimal sun exposure. It can also be found in certain parts of the European Union. Although the plant bears bright yellow flowers, the oil itself is still blue and not yellow. This is because it contains chamazulene which turns to deep blue when heated. Since then, Blue Tansy is not just adored for its colour but also for its valuable oil that contains a-terpineol, b-pinene, eucalyptol, linalool, limonene, and viridiflorol, and more.

For an energising bath blend, best to mix it with cedarwood, ylang ylang, fractionated coconut oil, and pink Himalayan salt.

CAUTION: Blue Tansy oil may stain your clothing and some surfaces. We advise to mix it with a carrier oil to decrease its staining effect and before applying onto skin. In any of these topical applications, best to perform a skin patch test first. Blue Tansy essential oil cannot be taken internally. It is only used for aromatic and topical applications.
