Lemon myrtle and verbena is an invigorating fragrance oil that is used in many aromatic applications. It is synthesised from the flowering plant of Backhousia citriodora. This fragrance oil features a clean, crisp, and revitalising aroma. As such, it has become one of the most highly used fragrance in perfumes, colognes, candles, air freshener sprays, fabric fresheners, skin and haircare products (soaps, shampoos, shower gels, hair conditioners, lotions, moisturisers), and many others.

This phthalate-free fragrance oil is known to have the scent attributes of kaffir lime and lemongrass. The only difference is that this fragrance oil has a cleaner, menthol-like aroma. In perfume making, lemon myrtle and verbena fragrance oil is primarily used as a base note for its naturally musky aroma, however, it can also be used as a middle note because of its slightly floral scent attribute.

Suggested dosage:

If you are planning to add this lemon myrtle and verbena fragrance oil in eco-household products, we recommend using 0.2% to 1% for cleaning products, 0.1% to 0.5% for bath crystals, and 0.5% to 1% for soapmaking applications. In reed diffusers, you can use 10% to 20%. Skincare products including lotions, body creams, and body washes should only have 0.2% to 1% or 1.5% of lemon myrtle and verbena fragrance oil. In making homemade candles, the recommended dosage is 8% to 12%.
