Liquid Germall Plus is a well-known and popular broad-spectrum water-soluble preservative, free from parabens, that efficiently delivers antimicrobial activity to a wide variety of personal care products. It's suitable for use in surfactant-based systems such as shampoos, conditioners, lotions, creams, moisturisers, body washes, body gels and many other high-water content products.

It's ideal for oil-in-water, and water-in-oil emulsions but not for use in lip products, anhydrous products nor aerosolised products. Effective at low doses and over a broad pH range of 3.0 to 8.0, it's highly recommended for leave-on and rinse-off haircare and skincare applications.

Liquid Germall Plus is heat sensitive and should be added to the water phase at a temperature of 50 degrees celsius or below during the cool down stage. It's important to note that adding this preservative above 50 degrees celsius may result in compromising the preservative system in your product.

Usage levels: 0.1-0.5% of total weight formulation. Add to the recipe when the mixture has cooled down to 50degC or below.
